Now the missus is back at work after maternity leave I have Friday afternoon to myself cause I finish at 2 so got some bits done yesterday haha.

My radiator came so got that on but there isn't much room for the standard fan so I've ordered a slimline fan and going to put it on the front and revers the polarity so it blows air through instead of sucking air through.
I put the manifold on loose to check fitment and its tight haha.
Cleaned up the inside of the bonnet because it was manky and fit my coilovers but they don't leave any room for a sturt brace, so I'm going to run without one and just fit the ARB with the spacer blocks instead.

I put the washer and coolant bottles through the dishwasher too after spraying some fallout remover in and putting some nuts in and shaking them like fuck, they cleaned up nice after the nuts, ill see what they're like when they come out the dishwasher

Tomorrow I'm gonna get the inside of the car put back together and wire in the digidash

Keep an eye on temps, that looks like the smaller 1L radiator opposed to the normal 1.2-1.6 size one. I much prefer the fan on the back to allow air to hit the front too - there should be room to the side of the manifold for a fan.

You can also modify the radiator mounts to tilt the radiator forwards to give lots more manifold clearance.

Yeah I ordered it and said it was for upto 1.4 then when it came I noticed it was smaller than my other one, I might get a cool running thermostat too

The TX all-alloy ones aren't too bad if you do need an upgrade. They do a proper slimline fan bracket too.

I've ordered a slimline fan should be here during the week.
If my temps aren't right once it's built I'll just have to buy a bigger rad, but for now I'll go with this and see how it performs as I've already paid out for it and can't send it back

Yeah I have looked at alloy rads but the price of them I cant justify right now, I still have to pay out for coolant hoses and ancillary hoses yet which isn't cheap .

If this rad doesn't perform properly I'll save up for a aluminium rad

This car stands me at around 10.5k and I still haven't finished.
Hopefully in years to come I'll make that money back if I ever sell it and the price of merits go up hahaha
