They are, they will be trimmed down more so they re not halfway up the side of the van.

Most of the welding is done now, we need to get it on a spit so we can get to the sills better, then a few other small bits and it is done.
We will be fitting the dash and getting the steering column where it needs to be, it is just tacked in so we could steer it.
Forgot to say earlier the power steering pump pulley, sits right in the way of the drivers headlight so we decided to do away with the pump and convert the power rack to manual, id heard the VW boys had done it with a mk2 golf.
So i made some enquiries and it can be done no problem. (another few kgs off)
Love that little rad. Great work.
All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one PepsiFar from suicidalStill I get them tendenciesBringing back them memories

Taking shape nicely mate. Good job
Cheers Baz, thanks mate. We finished some more welding today, and dropped the intercooler off for some modifying so we can mount the thing. Also managed to get the rad piped up. We need to modify the fuel filler neck so we can actually fill it up, we decided on locating it near the right rear strut tower inside the car.
We are going to wire the car up as well, so we no where everything sits on the inner wings and bulkhead, ecu, fusebox etc...
One last thing is the heater for inside the car, the nova and mitsubishi wont work due to being too big, so we used the same as my 4x4 mk1 astra van, which is a rover mini unit, and is perfect in size and kicks out some decent heat,
The propshaft should be back soon as well
So without jinxing myself, i should have this running next week all being well
