If it car pannels you are welding pal try and spot them rather than a full weld as said move around the pannel often . Im a plater welder and work for one of europes biggest fabrication companys and still struggle with cars sometimes due the material thickness . Rust and seam sealer ect so dont worry if it takes a while to learn.

Played around with the welder at weekend produced some good welds on a sheet of metal. Just played with the wire speed and got somewhere near. Not alot done on car but cracked on with engine. Cambelt on and painted the rocker cover in vht wrinkle paint big fan of this stuff.

    Inlet wrinkled and painted up.

Hopefully progress at the weekend starting on rear arches.

Inlet manifold looks great. What brand of paint did you use?
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming, “DAMN, what a ride!!”

Finally got n/s quarter cut out. Inner was shot too had to cut quite a bit back to get clean metal. Gonna order inner repair panels to weld in. Few pics of said quarter:

All cut back now fresh clean metal ready for new repair panels.

That vht paint looks awsome .
I bought 3 tins of it a week ago to do my timing cover and stuff.
All 3 cans were broken . Seals had gone so took them back but shop had no more in stock . Gutted cant wait to do all my covers .
    Nice work
