I've looked up Dylon which is a fabric dye but it doesn't work on man made materials. Would also need somewhere big to put it in.

Seen them go between £60 - £150 depending on condition.

Would like to see the results of a blue dye on a standard nova carpet, I'd do it myself but don't have the carpets yet. Only seen painted ones that have a poor finish
