Default The curse of the Nova continue

My mate pulled out the dipstick (sounds sexual) while my car was running, and smoke was coming out. I was told that this is not good, and honestly, I've never noticed
What could be the cause, and is this bad?

    Smoke? Or light steamy smoke?

As the oil will be hot, so you'll get a steamy like smoke.
All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi
    Far from suicidal
    Still I get them tendencies
    Bringing back them memories
That I really miss when I reminisce

The same as what comes out the breather
White in color. Not billowing, but flows out

    It's a diesel. It's about 20 years old. It's what they do.

So it's nothing to worry about? Best guess for age of the engine is between 23 and 26 years old (roughly)

I've read it could be the breather system. Someone told me it could be the piston rings. So, it's all good?

Sounds like blow-by. As per mowgli.
Next time you check your oil, turn your engine off first and it wont bother you. ML top-tip.

Will wait for the 'breaking' advert, where we can't buy anything because of Malta postage costs.

Thanks for the confidence. That's exactly what I wanted to read.
