Very nice, good to see one so original and clean. I do believe I saw it at the Margam park car show a few months ago?

Yes i was in the show, right down the back as i was not part of any club stand. I live few miles from margam park, i see you are from south wales to
I was hoping to see a Nova there so was happy to see yours there. I had a good look, very impressed (and jealous) over its condition. I'm only about 20 minutes away from Margam too, I did think about taking mine there but forgot all about it.
It had quite a bit of attention, best classic car show I have been to in ages and will definitely be going again next year, hopefully there will be move novas going (no excuses next year) as I was the only one, was astra gte I think. Best car of show for me was the merc gull wing
Yes I fitted this as I thought it was the original type, guess by your response its not. I have seen the other type but I remember my mates having one these back in the late 90s
Ours came with a flip petrol cap, same as the boot and presumably the same as the rest in the past but other locks on ours were replaced following attempted break ins. Others have suggested that flip caps on mark 2 (not mk 1) but i believe was on ours originally. Hence my query.
I'm going to buy a sales brochure from eBay soon, that should show the fuel cap
The original fuel caps have 4 spokes on and were without a flip part, apart from Nova00's by the sounds of it.
I think the flip cover fuel caps were on the mk1 facelift models but not sure what year they started fitting them. I have a 1990 brochure with the flip cover cap fitted on every model up to the GTE. I know my old 1990 1.4SR had one back when I owned it in the late 90's
