The nankangs could be a good shout, R888s are pretty tried and tested tho.

What widths are you guys running the 195/50s on?

im trying to decide for the nova project what to do. Ive currently got 17s with 215 and 235 on 7" & 8" (I think!) and running 200sx diameters. Was considering dropping to 15s and running the smaller nova sizes. Was also thinking of putting a 9.5" wide in the back but 888s only go up to 235s in 15s so nothing really gained.

888s get my vote but you obvs need to consider they're not exactly arch-friendly!

Not sure arch friendly comment applies to Simp's project.

There's tonnes of second hand 17" slicks on eBay/various sellers if you don't need road legal but depends if you're wanting an all rounder for dry track tyre.

For anyone clicking this, I'd recommend wider than 165 wide!

Ad08r's awesome tyres on par with r888 but cheaper. I've used them for years on numerous different cars and always been good.

They have 8mm tread too where as 888s have 5mm
