Idle problems 20xe
My 20xe used to idle fine but I had the throttle body machined out to 68mm. Now i've fitted it back with a new gasket but when I pull up at lights etc the car idles at 2000-2500rpm and I cant seem to get it running slower. I cant find any air leaks etc but the car was running fine before I had this done. Any ideas anyone??
Did you fit a larger butterfly?
The person who did the work fitted a new butterfly to match, its a snug fit and it closes fully when you take your foot off the throttle.
Leave it running and just spray carb cleaner round the throttle bodies etc and see if the revs go up as u mite still have a small leak somewhere
Setup the TPS and check for leaks.
if you've still got the sfi donut i'd check for leaks here first
