mk2. steering column replacement
Hi I was wondering if anyone had any advice. Some bell tried to steal my car whilst it had a disc lock on and managed to bend the tip of the steering column and broke the steering lock. I have installed a new column, but now it is catching when i turn the wheel. It is catching on the plastic part at the rear of the steering wheel (where the contacts are for the horn) on the plastic plate which holds the indicator and light storks.
The replacement looked identicle and was listed as a mk 2 column,so i didnt measure the lenth but this will be the next point of call. if anyone has any idea how i could have gone wrong any help would be great. Cheers
