for some reason when i accelerate and move my window wiper just once my ignition lights flash and the car jerks it must be a eletrical fault maybe something to do with my alternator has anyone else experienced problems like this with mk2 novas

theres a earth behind the stereo and if this earth isnt screwed tight then the alternator will not charge at all. (i know this coz i snapped mine fitting my single wiper and then ended up buying a new alternator and everything till i fixed the problam) i had to take the dash out for the sake ov 10 secs ov soldering. the wire is brown and is behind the stereo on the mk1 novas, the mk2 novas have the stereo in a differnt place so im not sure if the wire was moved?
