Lightbulb non happy shopper crankshaft seal and flywheel dribble..

As above, what make gasket do people use on a xe/let , pref one that dosnt leak..

Also the flywheel is burnt out hard so going for a skim, but is it worth lightening and balanceing the thing? Its a flat type, is it worth it...

Payne made/make alot of GM gaskets so i'd look for them.
If its going away to a machine shop, i'd lighten and balance it while there, makes sense too.

    Far from suicidal
    Still I get them tendencies
    Bringing back them memories
That I really miss when I reminisce

    elring gaskets are very good.

re the flywheel, get the face skimmed a bit, but don't go mad, and if there are any steps, make sure they are replicated properly.. remember to only remove lots of metal from near to the ring gear... lightening the bit where the clutch plate goes doesn't do much at all, but removing the outer weight does wonders to the inertia.
