ok. as long as it wasn't a c14se block, it should fit fine.

did you check it turned ok before bolting it up?

try undoing the 4 x 11mm bolts on the selector, and wiggling the selector box out.

theres 3 x U-shaped selector arms, under the selector box. make sure there all lined up together.

also, did you happen to check the markings in the 2 diff gears ? (the 3.74's have 5 notches)

i think you can get away with just taking the diff cover plate off to view them.
the diff gear is right there to check notches, and above it, the small pinion gear it connects with, from a certain angle, you can just about see the notches to count them (i think you just about can anyway, might need a torch) .. gearbox oil will piss out all over the place when the cover plate comes off, so watch out.

did the small circular magnet go back in its little housing too ?
and theres a large D-shaped washer that goes over one of the selector rods,

They might not be plastic I'm not sure it was dark haha, there was only 2 of them on the 4 speed because of no 5th gear do you mean those? Yes the D shaped washer is in for reverse gear don't think that will affect it , will check for the magnet would of been easier to buy a digi dash lmao

yeah thats right, the 4 speeds only have 2 selectors.
your f13 5 speed gearset youve put in will have 3.

the small circular magnet should be underneath the large gearset gasket. if you didnt touch the gasket, you probably didnt see it, and its probably still there.

Got magnet in and everything that's been said so far! Just a quick one do I have to change the diff cog to the nova cog? Although they look the same there may be a small difference

Okay so update, its the first gear that catches on the casing of the F10, removed all that with a dremel and now its fine, bolted onto the car with the new clutch and the pressure plate is wrong, brilliant

the input shafts were both 14 spline on mine, f10 & f13

i put an f13 on recently, and kept the original f10 pressure plate.
i made sure to use the old clutch release bearing with it, as there usually sold in kits, with matching faces
