Mk2 Fiesta XR2, B plate in Rosso red and hpi clear. Car was 1 owner from new untill 2.5 years ago. It has one of the most comprehensive history files you will find, original bill of sale, stamped history book/ trim/ paint catalogues endless receipts and full list of servicing. All work has been carried out by professionals which is documented in 3 files!.
The car was used as a daily driver by the first owner, upon delivery he removed the plastic arch trims and skirts and re sealed them, the arch lips etc are immaculate as is the rest of the metal work under the trims. The first owner was a fanatic and the lengths he went too to detail the history of the car and preserve/ maintain it were unreal!. The car was sorned in 1997 and dry stored for 10 years by him, I have all the old sorn letters from the dvla to prove this. I don't think you will find a much better unrestored car with this type of history and condition for the age.
The car sports a specialised engines 1.9 American tall block conversion which is fully documented and fitted in 1994 at a cost of £2000. The engine is coupled to a 4 branch manifold and stainless exhaust and produces 130bhp. From the top it looks like a standard cvh. It consists of a worked CVH head with piper cam shaft and then the tall block to increase the stoke to a 1900cc. The company are still going to this day. It's the quietest CVH I have ever heard and the car goes extremely well.
The interior is unmarked and in excellent condition, no silly holes in the door cards or parcel shelf, and retains the original head unit! The boot is excellent with the 5th pepper pot spare wheel.
The body is in great condition for its age, but please bear in mind this car is unrestored and almost 30 years old! It does have age related marks and has had some paint in the past. There is no rust in the engine bay or turrets, there is a finger nail size rust hole in the o/s door shut which has been treated ready for repair and a golf ball size patch on the floor pan and that is it. To my knowledge the car has never been welded. The sunroof and lights have been removed to check for rust and they are also rot free. The paint stays red and does not fade.
When I purchased the car I inspected it on a ramp and it's solid, last owner added a new cambelt and new brake pipes/ bushes for peace of mind and a new fuel tank ( no rust above tank). Car comes with some motorcraft genuine spares, strut braces standard carb etc. It's a very honest car, not concours but very good for its age, ready to drive or to be taken to the next level. I don't want to sell it but am due to a pending house extension. Any inspection welcome, any questions just ask.
