Looking good mate coming along nicely, the work on the shell can be a pain but once done right will last ages, I nearly gave up on mine but so glad I didn't now, would take ages to find a solid clean shell I imagine.

Nice thread this - enjoyed catching up. Sounds like our projects are very similar - some of the rot areas look very familiar!

    Just a mini update,

got the sandblaster out and gave the drum back plates a good seeing to, they had seen better days

    [IMG][/IMG]

After the blasting I etched primed and then gave them a couple of coats of paint

    [IMG][/IMG]

very pleased with how these came out.
I had ordered new shoes, cylinders and drums so set about fitting it all

    [IMG][/IMG]0

just need to press the bearings into the drums and find the correct handbrake cables and fit some poly bushes and it can be wrapped up until the car is ready

Some good progress there mate, certainly more than I've managed to do recently, although I did buy 2 more cars

Few bits done to the nova, the engine is currently being rebuilt at my mates

    [IMG][/IMG]

And im tarting up the rocker cover so it's nice and shiny

    [IMG][/IMG]

ive been carrying on welding, but it's taking a lot longer then I had hoped.
Still need to cut the circular hole for the fuel breather to go

    [IMG][/IMG]

and I've done as much to the inner wing as I can until I finish were it meets the sill and the bumper end

    [IMG][/IMG]

Also took the underseal on the rear chassis legs and was very happy with what I found

Chassis legs look good! Welding will be worth it in the end

It's about time I had some good luck with this shelll, but it feels like I'm making progress and getting some of the smaller jobs done here and there when I have an hour free.

Chassis legs do look nice and clean.
All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi
    Far from suicidal
    Still I get them tendencies
    Bringing back them memories
That I really miss when I reminisce
