after a bit of reading today (finished work early so got a couple hours in ) the tuning box idea is out the window. you can achieve the same effect with a £3/4 1k ohm resistors from maplins/ebay/amazon etc.... that saves me 27 quid (or 300 miles )....effectively the same kind of tuning as the td nova's increasing fuel and boost= WIN!

I decided to just buy the wheels in the end mate. didn't want to overthink it or it will never get done much like the nova

    RIM DAY!

so got the wheels on took nearly 3 hours of messing around grinding them out with a battery powered driver and a grind stone

    nice bit of grinding

they scrubbed a bit but that was soon sorted!

overall im very happy with the wheels think they really suit the car and they don't look oversized like 17" on a nova which is nice. when its time to change the tyres I will be going for a much shorter profile then the chucky 55's that are on it now. been looking at 40's and 45's they all seem cheap enough so that's the way forward

cant wait to lower it now :D
