    Default equal length shafts

Looking to sort some of these for mine.

How short does the outer offside shaft need to be?

He only has pairs at the mo. So you have one for the drivers and passenger side. £140

whats the score with this by the way ? ... ive heard it mentioned again and again, but have no idea how it works.

im guessing the shorter shaft needs to be beefed up to match the weight of the longer one ? ... so that they spin at the same velocity, and stop slip on the nearside wheel ?

The longer shaft is split in half, the inside bit of the shaft is fixed to the the gearbox making the cv sit at the same angle as the shorter shaft cv.

With both shafts sitting at the same angle torque steer is reduced.

For the price Pete, id buy Davids ones, the are strong and very well made. Saves messing about getting them machined down.

Irrelevant now unless I can find another set. The ones I was looking to buy are now sold.
