So it's been a few weeks!!

First things first, hand surgery recovery

Operated on the 19th December was back on site on the 20th.

    New driveway

    Engine out

Engine coming apart tomorrow afternoon, down to Jay at Modus for re-bore and pistons, crank polish, new shells. Then back to me for re-build and back in the car.

This constitutes the total sum of my winter work.

Brakes are being re-furbed by BCS in Nottingham and should be back first week of March.

Will post engine internal pics once it comes apart tomorrow.

So first order of business, rugby was on, so this had to go up.

    Then

    which led to

    Bish bash bosh

    And

So for a long time I thought I had an oval bore on number 1, however it appears that this might have been the cause.

Looks like a broken oil control ring on number 1, all this lot is off to Jay tomorrow morning for full inspection and he'll tell me if it need a re-bore or not, with any luck as it's a spare engine it wont need a re-bore, it'll just need a set of rings and some shells and we'll be back rolling in 2 weeks time.

I'll be back with an update once I've spoken to Jay tomorrow.

Yeah run a drill down it so it smokes like a dog again once it's back together like yours!!! Plan!!

Besides once yours blows up you'll be crying your eyes out and want this engine to get your spunk coloured rust box rolling again
