Personally I've failed to see why you would move it from a point low down and between the wheels, a place that does its best to lower the CoG
exactly why in all my previous builds I have stuck with this All of my budget builds have surprised people on how they have performed, but I tend to go the opposite way to the 'general' way of thinking and do what I believe is right, not always what I get told.

In simple terms Talldave when you have a large engine driving the front wheels hung in front of the front axel anything replicated at the back will make for a more balanced handling car.

Aside from adding weight to prove a point, moving the fuel tank higher & further back than standard location will take weight away from the front. Polar moments are relative to roll centers; putting the back down in this configuration helps greatly too - kinda like the reverse of a 911 where the front is lower than the back.

Yes House I've damaged beam holes on mine adding some strength & weight so even 2MM thick washers welded on will make a big difference.

    Well I say,

    Some new little toys

Bit of a clean up and we're looking good, need some new rotors, but the calipers, rotors and pads are in good condition.

Now I need new wheels to get them under!!

For the price they are and time it takes I'd recommend you fit new piston seals with the calipers bring second hand. You then at least know they'll be A1 once fitted on your motor.

Oooooo nice choice on the brakes.
All I wanted was a Pepsi, just one Pepsi
    Far from suicidal
    Still I get them tendencies
    Bringing back them memories
That I really miss when I reminisce

Discs are approx 300mm and I don't think they'll be going under the cesaros from my quick mock up!
