I appreciate everyone's input!! It's nice to get other's ideas and thoughts!! It's gone off nice and hard tonight so that's good, I was worried it would remain "tacky" but it's dry as.

I'll be sure to etch the front half before Schultzing though, there will be some bare metal where I've welded the front seat in.

    Picking up speed now!!!!

    Rear ARB

Shifter, whilst I plan to go for a direct to turret, I've run out of time!! This'll do!!!

Rear beam wire brushed and given a quick quote of tough black again I'd like to completely re-furb, shot blast and powder coat but time is pressing, this looks better than a rusty bullet hole.

It'll do, I'll do the drums once it's back on the car. Ordered the last few bits for the rear brake lines and also some switches for the switch panel.

Coming together slowly, off to Norway next week, then 2 weeks in Birmingham, a weeek in Greece and 2 weeks in Prague so progress will grind to a halt again soon!!

Did you etch prime the beam before painting?

Blinked and missed three pages of updates, must you work that hard, you are putting the rest of us to shame

Anyway back to the rear beam gussets, they are from the HH strengthening kit, like yourself and Craig I've spotted various other of the strengthening plates are fitted, the strut tops being the most obvious.

Yeah they do look OK to me, that's the weird thing with this car, some bits in the shell have been done really well but other stuff was completely and utterly bodged, hence my expectation that the beam gussets would be wrong!!
I can't comment on the bodging, but its definitely weird that no other seam welding done (as spotted by Benn), go figure huh!

Looking forward to hearing about your new engine, already salivating at the prospect, come on stop being a tease...

    Few little bits today.

Switch panel completed bar flocking, gonna try and do it myself, failing that I'll send it to Prey. USB charger is for the camera power.

Sits in there quite well I think!! Plan is to take it with me to Birmingham and also Prague and run the wires in the evenings in the hotel!! fun fun fun!!

I've just tried to rotate this on photobucket for the last 40 mins obviously to no avail!!! So it's going in like this!!!

    [
Access at the back for wiring and ECU loom to plug in. Pretty happy with both those things, now I just need to get it all wired up the easy bit!! fitting the glovebox into the dash and running the wires accordingly, the plan being that the wiring is all attached to the dash and comes out as one. Not sure how it'll work yet but we'll see!!

    Sexy garage shoes!!

Got bang on it again this afternoon!!

    Beam back on today

Nothing we haven't all seen before but new lines on the beam, added a new handbrake cable and found this when I fitted the new handbrake cables and new wheel cylinders

Can't believe how full of crap it is in there!! Only cleaned them out 6 months ago, must have been the dust from when it was sprayed. All back together and good to go!!

That's it really, finished the front lines, including the brake lights switch, just waiting for the 90 degree bulkhead fittings to get down to the rear beam, they're on their way to me. Off to Norway Monday so progress will be slow as again for a while!!
