Well at least you know where the problem/weakness is, just don't get shafted on the next set
    Apologies, that was bad!

On a different note, how much ground to sump clearance do you have?

    No Simps.....just no.

I can measure exactly if you want? But I'm running Pace dry sump so the sump pan is half as deep as standard. The lowest point on mine is the lower strut brace. I'll have a look and try and measure. It's not a lot, maybe 90mm

Default House's ITB XE build and re-build

    Evening.

Brands today, managed a 55.79. Fastest lap I've done round there. Still more to gain, on the brakes and defo down paddock hill but had a good day and nothing passed me all day.

Enjoy my only clear lap of the day!!

For those that are interested. That 55.79 was my only clear lap of the entire day.

Shame about the shaft mate. Nothing I have seen from the regular Vauxhall world is up to the job, I had an identical failure.

Since fitting Berrisford shafts about 7 races ago had no issues at all and still dead straight. My car probably has a bit more power and a lot more grip than yours too so you're in good hands.

I have a spare set of Berrisford ones here just in case but haven't needed them yet.

Those berrisford shafts look tasty. Definitely a worthwhile upgrade!

Well my new shafts arrived and went in.

    Didn't break at Brands yesterday.

Managed another 55.86 although Vbox suggests my best lap (made up of my quickest sectors) was a 55 dead.

Morning was proper Carl Fogarty and the start was delayed until 11.30am, then we predictably had 7 red flags in the first hour of running. Who'd have thought it........

As I'm not running a thermostat I had to tape some grille up, then as it was 2 degrees and wet I taped the brake vents up too

Good day all round, had some fun, really feel like I'm understanding how the car behaves, looking forward to the JSS next year and a bit of competition.

    Video incoming.

Default House's ITB XE build and re-build

Chasing Mark Fowler in his race winning M3, was good fun for a few laps
