With that being said, I still need to learn how to use it all!!!
That's why I haven't had a go with my AC/DC TiG unit yet, I'm waiting on a friend of mine who's a pro-welder (ex Prodrive) to give me some tuition!

I'm not bad with a MiG, although that's very much easier than TiG of course

After electrifying the bench and giving myself a bloody good bolt.

It turns out I had the earth and torch plugged in round the wrong way. Apparently the welder I've got runs in reverse bench clamp in + and torch in - for DC TIG.

I'm told the odd electric shock resets the system, that should be me nice and reset for a few years.

That was why I mentioned it, I remember thinking it was odd when I got my R-Tech a few years back.

A small update, SADEV is on order, should be landing early April, 40% deposit paid and the other 60% is with a trusted person as we all know I can't be trusted with large sums of cash.

Been doing some work in the workshop, which I think it can officially be called now as it's no longer a barn!!

Now I can really fuck some stuff up!! Got some proper machining tools and have already made a few parts up

Next order of business, organisation! Too much crap everywhere

Fantastic stuff. Looks like a great set-up now.

I'd love a lathe and a mill but I'm running out of room in my workshop. And out of room to extend it any further

I didn't really need a mill but this came up at a good price. Ofcourse it means I've now go to build a stand for it!!

And to build a stand I needed the bandsaw, which was also at a great price!!!

Got to love tools - and room to put them somewhere.
Does the lathe run a 3 phase motor? If so, is it hard or expensive to get 3 phase connected to your home/workshop in the UK?
