Quick update on progress. As of tomorrow my 1.2 carb head will be going into t.j. McKeands engine re conditioners to be ported, polished and skimmed ready for fitting to my 1.4 sr bottom end. I have a piper bp300 cam and irmscher cathedral port inlet manifold to fit my dellorto twin 40's to. The money I've spent by now I'd probably have been cheaper red topping it but at 18 there's no chance I could insure a red top conversion and I wouldn't want to risk getting my car impounded for the sake of the insurance being void. I'm looking to get at least 90-100bhp at the flywheel with this engine which I'd be more than happy with! Anythings better than a 45bhp spi engine surely.
