Trust me mate walk away. It will be cheap for a reason! A couple of years ago i really wanted one, i mean really wanted one. Only had 6k to spend but all the good ones were around 8k, just had to leave it that was my head talking, and if you had any common sence you will do the same

Daz, save up for a decent one IMO, you've obviously done well the last few years buying and selling a few cars on so don't rush for some tatty heap of a VXR.

I would only be looking at vxr's from 2008 onwards , with service history , I've had a vxr back in 2008 bran new and in the 9 months I had it I went through 2 turbos , oil leaks , lamber sencers and a cat in the end the dealer wrote the car off.
I put it down to poor build of that one car .

Would I have another YES I would .

As others have said, walk away.

When I said prices have dropped hard I didn't mean *that* hard You'll need to spend at least £6k and I would suspect a decent one that's been looked after is going to cost you 6.5-7k.

Don't what ever you do buy a ****ter, you'll regret every minute.
