well, its more on car sharing & covering running costs, as opposed to hire & reward..but i agree, a very grey area..

there is something similar for moving items that normal couriers won't take, like fragile items, furniture etc.... which is a lot dodgier..

Why would you want to invite a total stranger into your car, you might aswell pick up hitch hikers in that case, dangerous to the individual imo, not to mention the dodginess in regards to the insurance!
