Default C16se into Nova 1.4 sr

hi there, recently purchased a c16se and loom from an automatic mk3 astra gls for my car, ive got it in but im struggling to wire it up. ive got all the dash lights working etc, but the engine refuses to turn over and the starter wont engage. the car previousouly had an x14xe in with a chip/key immobiliser. i dont have an imobiliser for this loom (c16se) and i have no way of finding out if it had one. please help!!

the c16se dosnt have an imobbilisor, if it wont even turn over cvheck the starter/alternator loom and make sure its all connected properly

it connects to the car loom by a black plug on the bulkhead

have you tried bumping it and if it came from a auto what have you used on the manual conversion as the flywheels startermotor ect are different

thanks for the advice guys, ive got a mate coming round tommorrow that knows what hes doing, so hopefully we should have it on the road soon , certainly should be better than an old toffeetec anyway

as for the automatic crack, ive used the clutch and flywheel of my old x14xe and fits perfect.
