job interview....

well i had my biggest interview to date yesterday to work on the railway as a new direction for me as i wont be going back to driving, i must of been a bit out of touch because i had no idea i had to do an exam when i got there, also a drugs and alcohol test is to come , yesterdays test i had to fill in each section within six mins, and move onto the next, and the questions were maths and stuff to catch you out, maths not being my strong point,
once that part was done i was interviewed by two people in a room that looked like the board room from the Apprentice, quite scary stuff, and got to wait untill tommrow to see if i got the job!
is this what all interviews are like as ive never worked for a proper firm before??

Last interview I went for had a (small) test. Think yourself lucky you didn't have to do a presentation too

When should you hear by? I'll probably be waiting another month on mine

i will hear friday if i get the job, then ive got two weeks intensive training to get my health and safety tickets to work on track, plus a medical and drugs test, was nice to find an employer who understood my medical problem and didnt hold it against me like every other interview i had, if i get the job i get to work over the christmas three days and new years aswell, (i hate them times of year and would rather work )

tests are no fun, but maybe worth it, i havent sat down with a pen and paper for 15 years back when i was at school
