headunit question
some of you my have seen my build thread in the project section. im trying to get the car done and keep running in to little problems. pluged my headunit in to the car and it wont turn on or do anything i dont think its gettin any power to it. sorry if this sounds stupid but does the new loom have to be connected to it sumhow ?
swapped the red and yellow plugs around on the back?
nope i thought it would just plug and play. ill have a go tommorrow
even with that in mind, when the ignition is on the HU would still power up, the wire swap just effects the HU's memoryOriginally Posted by swedge
1. does your interior light work (the HU's yellow permanent feed is on the same fuse as the interior light)
2. If you haven't got one, get a multimeter (@ Maplin for £5) to check both the yellow and the red wires for a 12v+ reading (yellow should be 12v+ all the time and the red will only be 12v+ when ignition is switched on)
the interior light doesn't turn on atall hmm. ill have a proper look wen we get cracking on with the car 2day
