    Default Two Door Loon.

We bought her the day we returned from Nationals weekend 2011.
Spur of the moment eBay bargain!

Here she is when we were sat waiting for the owner to arrive

After negotiating a buy it now price to £50 in my favour I then started on my low power drive home.... ALL WAS NOT WELL!

Got less than a mile from the guys house and she died EPICALLY!

Pulled of a set of lights and chug chug chug dead.....
Tried to re start 3 times boom battery flat.

At this point I was NOT HAPPY!

Dumped her in a Sainsbuggeries car park had a nosey, Diagnosed no spark and a BADLY set up carb and headed off to halfords!

One set of jump leads, a rotor arm and contact cleaner on the dizzy cap and a twiddle with the screws in the carb later and she fired first turn. *WIN*

Now I'm not sure how many of you have ever driven a 1.0 Nova.
Let alone a 1.0 nova that's not running right....

Now imagine you'd spent a weekend driving a 200+ bhp Golf VR6 then you get into said Nova....

I was scared 5hitless!!! Asa and I had walkie talkies and every slight hill I was radioing him saying I was loosing power, It's broken HELP! etc etc... Needless to say he found it highly amusing! (so would I)

It was a LOOOONG drive from Leeds (ish) to Manchester. All the time I couldn't help but notice the steering wobble and the lack of power in 4th 3rd 2nd and 1st. Got it home and noticed the brakes were smoking like mad!!

Asa took it for a spirited drive to his parents then when we parked up we noticed the hub cap on the drivers front had melted due to the brake binding... (oooops) It then ejected the hubcap on the way back home so I laid her up for a few days.

Straight onto here and on the hunt.

Within the next week I had bought 256 brake set up. and some 60mm springs and shocks. Only issue being the fact the 13" steelies wouldn't clear the brakes.

So bought two sets of wheels to decide which to keep on the day of fitting.

No £50 in my favour as in £50 off the buy it now price, If it was that easy to get one in this condition for £50 i'd have bought hundreds by now!

I loved my 1.0! it would easily do 90 (on a private road of course!) Would do good mpg, and it never, ever let me down in 20ks of driving.

Looks a nice loon dude, and appears to have some very good potential. What is the plan for her then?
