    Default Trade Policies?

    Anyone on here got one?
Couple of my mates have them and with rising insurance costs i'm considering a trade policy, as my old mans always named on my insurance anyway he was going to contribute as it would benefit him as well.

Being 22 seems to be my only problem, my insurance is up in April i'm 23 in June.
By then i'll only have 3 points from 4 years ago to declare (SP30) and its now 5 years since my 1st 3 points.
I also will have 2 years NCB (Fingers crossed)

Anyone recommend some companys, had a google but personal experience always helps.

Isnt there loads of rules though?

Only valid in working hours, only used for to and from mots, and collecting a purchased vehicle.

A member on heres dad was hevily involved with the police, and they had a huge purge on taking peoples cars and vans for running round at 1am, and going to maccies on trades

Matt it depends massively on your provider, your terms of use, your usage of said policy, there is no clear picture you can give anyone of what a traders policy will provide you, without ringing up and finding out first hand.

Yeah, just didn't want him thinking it's all ok, you have to ask every question

    Thanks for the advice guys.

I appreciate your post Matt that you wouldnt want me getting caught out, i've already filled in a few online quotes where the terms are 'Motor Trade/SD & P' uses.

So basically my own cars are insured as my main vehicles and i'm also covered to drive vehicles upto a certain value/bhp.

I know a handful of people with these types of policy with no issues.

It's really just to make life easier with having multiple cars, plus i do servicing & repairs here and there so it would make life easier for doing such.
