Having completed the single wiper conversion i am having the problem of the T piece hitting the mesh under the scuttle panel, has anyone experienced this or now how to fix it????

i had that. it makes a clunking noise doesn't it.
what i did was cut one slat out, and cut the old joint for the other half of the linkage away, but still leaving the t-piece shape.
on my first attempt i cut away the whole lot and the linkage rod was tensing up and locking leaving me releasing the wiper by hand. this burnt my motor out in the end. i then bought another linkage and left the t piece and just cut the prong off. seems to work well and quietly now.
e-mail me should you have difficulties!

i had exactly the same problem with mine, i shortened the t-piece 10mm, it was ok on intermittent but when i put it on full it kept hitting the scuttle pannel so i cut the corner of the plastic out and it still did it so in the end i shortened the t-piece by another 2 or 3mm and it's ok now and wipes a lot more of the windscreen than it used to
