    Haldex 4WD, engine is a 1.8 20vT with Nitrous.

    it shifts but it still has a way to go to catch the likes of norris etc

    But they started with something that was quick. A standard evo does what a 4.5sec 0-60, a Mk1 golf was around 10sec?

    Well not really cause they have done the same as this chap ripped a car to bits ans started again. and as the golf has a 1.8t which has a 0-60 of around 6secs anyway and ita in a lighter shell there isnt much in it

    that golf used to be a 1.5 auto so probably 20+

    My point is the Evo is a 2l Turbo 4WD from the factory, with factory performance of 13.3sec 1/4mile.
    Golf Mk1 is a 1.8 8v FWD from the factory with performance of 16.36s 1/4mile.

    A lot more fabrication is required to make a 9sec Golf, than a 9sec Evo
