    Default Best insurer for mods

I have recieved a letter today from my insurance company stating that when my policy expires on the 7th November they won't be renewing it. I couldn't work out why as Ive a clean licnce thats been held for 7 years and 3 years no claims. I rang them this afternoon to sort it out and they said that because they've changed supplier or whatever they now don't want to know as the cars 'modified'
All I declared last year was an engine transplant and uprated brakes. But when i say 'uprated brakes' theyre only standard GSi's. I tried explaining that the breaks came from the same car the engine did and all work was carried out professionally and fitted by a local garage. This garage (whom I know quite well) just did me a favour and said they'd carried out the work so as i could log the car properly. Myself and brother did the transplant but they don't know that. I have paid up untill the end of my policy but as of the 7th i won't be insured unless I sort something, which won't be to easy as Ive just lost my job
So Im wondering if anybody knows of any decent or the best insurance company to contact or go with, Thanks

    Try the club sponsor, Sky.

They'll be fine with you having done the conversion yourself. Plus they'll know you didn't as they do look on here.

Thanks for the recommendations guys and gals.

The only thing to add is that if you take a policy with us using the PNG discount, you would need to become a paid member of PNG, we would give you 2 weeks grace for this.
