i got a problem with my rear lights. well one of them anyway. when i put my foot on the brake the indicator lights up and dims the brake light. when the lights are on and i put my foot on the brake it just lights up the indicator. i know its not the wiring thats the problem as i switched the lights around. what could the problem be????

if the wiring is all ok and the earths are ok then check the bulbs themselves, the filaments may be touching on the brake/sidelight bulb.

when you say switched the light around do you mean exchanged bulbs on the other side and it no longer did the problem? If this is the case i would sugest getting new bulbs.

If this is not what you meant then i would have thought a bad earth somewhere. Check all connections and earth points.
