Thumbs up My Cavalier MK2 SRi130 Saloon

I have had this genuine SRi130 saloon for alittle while now, I am a die-hard Calibre fan but this really is something just as special in it's own way.
Went down South to buy a Calibre and came back with this
I have been gathering parts for it, and I am trying to resist from buying new parts... Which doesn't seem to be working!

I generally tidied it up when I first got it, managed to get it running, after a previous owner ran it on diesel.
Think the engine is a gone, one lifter was floating in the cam housing plus there was quite alot of blue smoke so the engine will be rebuilt.
This has mega rare saloon version which has factory fitted electric windows all round, central locking and power steering.. which are even rarer

I will be starting to restore this very soon, I am doing my cousins Convertible variant at the moment, that has been welded and is currently in primer awaiting for me to paint it this coming week

Here are some pictures for you guys... i'm copying a pasting from another thread so bear with me please

I also found this mega cool drawing whilst cleaning it out ;D

I got an SEH engine, but after a little think I shall be getting the original engine rebuilt.

Found a brand new genuine blue/grey rear saloon bumper, still in the original GM packaging

    New genuine aerial...

Managed to get hold of two new foglights...

    New headlight wiper blades...

The front middle skirt had two screw holes in it, so I thought there's no point in just buying the middle one, so bought the rest of them new too

And also managed toget a brand new rear 130 skirt set too, with new clips

Three brand new door mouldings in blue/grey with red stripe

New gm rear spoiler clips, side moulding clips and rivets

New gm rear fuel pump bobbins

New gm headlamp wiper arm rests and bumper jets

New gm indicator + I have the other side but no picture

    New gm rear boot cover

    New gm saloon 130 exhaust

Managed to get a mint set of used side mouldings, may put these on as the main objective with this car is to drive it as much as I can, and keep the Calibre as a show car.

Got an original radio for it too, it was a bonus too as it has come from a steel grey 130 saloon, it will live on in another one

Got a steering wheel as I don't want the MK3 one in it, also a dash clock as the one in it is faulty, and also a mint seat so I can repair my drivers bolster. Also some spare 130 headrests just incase I decide to do a rear headrest conversion, although the car will probably stay 100% standard so I doubt it.

A few more pictures of the car..

I couldn't resist putting the original steering wheel on... Makes the car imo

Never noticed this before but I love what it says on the top of the number plate...

Got a pair of good rear doors, as the current ones aren't in the best of conditions
