What is the best engine?

Hi guys. Looking for your opinions on the best engine to fit,
c20xe?
c20let?
c16xe
e16se?
none of the above?

and what mods should be done to make it as quick as I can.
Throttle bodies?
Turbo?
Anything else?

I live in a rural area with lots of nice twisty roads, so acceleration is more important than top end.

I was considering turboing my GTE lump but I think it would be a shame if I got it wrong and ruined a good engine.
