J-reg Carbed ?????

Right i bought a lovely wee Nova flair today

Am i right in thinking that ALL J reg novas were injection?
As my brother is positive its carbed and tells me it even has the manual choke!!
I am thinking its had an engine conversion, are am i just being a tard
