Makes me glad im just that tad older TBH.

Betweeb 17/18 i was paying a little over £3k F/C for a R5 GT Turbo, blew that up/set fire an had a 205 GTi which was IIRC £2k odd, then had a Nova SR which was £1400 exactly F/C.

If i qoute the same cars with my age now, the R5 comes in at £350ish F/C, the GTi about £250 an the SR £210ish.

I just use confused.com/sexually for the majority, then call them up an strike a deal. Or i contact Sky.

Luke, its not much more then that for an FD3S + Corsa in one policy for me, thats some perspective to compare with as were similiar ages etc etc.

I think insurance will be w*nk until your 21+.

I'm 19, good postcode, 1.2 nova merit, suspension and alloys, garaged, alarm, zero no claims, will be £1150 give or take a few quid, with my mum as a second driver. Fully comp too.

Just got to bite the bullet and pay it until you get a few years no claims under your belt

Just for laughs..... adrian flux, same details as above, 1.2 nova £2300.

C20XE nova with cage buckets etc etc £2500.

    WTF???

I wouldn't think of telling them. I assume that once you don't have a guiding influence you'd be inclined to drive like a young person. Badly !!!

Need the no claims too, i passed at 20, was £940ish on a 1.2i for the first year, £970 with 1ncb for a 1.6 front coilovers at 60mm/stripped/buckets/gsi bumpers etc etc. (Yeah I'm trying to keep insurance under a grand a year but spec the car to suit )

I love watching these POLICECANTSTOPSMASHWINDSCREENWITHTRUNCHEON shows.

'The man who was driving without a licence under the influence of alcohol was banned from driving for 24 months'

I mean come on! 'The man caught doing something which was illegal was told not to do that illegal thing again for 24 months'

I can totally understand why people will drive with no insurance at a young age. Trouble is, it gives the insurance companies the ammo to boost the premiums AGAIN the next year, so, like the 'Thread Bumping' issue, its a big insurance premium paradoxical circle of doom.
