    Default bigblock conversion help

    hey guys

ive set about putting an 1800 ecotec engine into my nova,

just a few quick questions before it proceeds,

i have TD nova shafts, 22 spline inners nd stuff, but the shafts i have are too small for the 1800 gearbox.

what is there i can do??
first ecotec build so im a tad clueless

REP will be added for any relevent answers

    cheers

i have just done mine mate but an xe, you use the 22 spline shafts and 22/34 mk2 cav 1600 inner cvs (shaftec no - PJ16) is the exact one you need!

just been reading up on a site i stumbled across, which states that the inner workings of the inner CV i have from the astra i broke for parts (which fits the 1800 gearbox) can be taken out and replaced with the inside of the nova CV. gonna getmy grease on tomorrow i think and see if tha actually works beofre i fit the mk2 cavvy CV's, worth a try i guess, atleast if they work i can keep the cavvy ones as spares til the nova ones die.

    what you all think??

funds are a bit low for that kinda talk

but you think that this will work?

if so it would probably make the XE conversions a lil less expensive if you can still use the original shafts huh
