    cheers scott.

small update, made a mounting bracket to hold the intercooler in place. Used part of the middle section i cut from the metal bumper support of the front bumper.

cut some bits off it and filed it smooth, then i cut 2 tabs to weld onto the strip of metal. I did this and ended up with this.

it will be painted, but does it look too gash? bolts will be cut down when i get round to it.

Onto the boost hoses from the turbo to cooler, think ive figured it out except the hoses are a bit tight up against the chassis leg/engine bay. Got dark so couldnt finish up.

    more to come.

Might be better with a alloy straight bar mate, i would make sure the 90 bends don't rub on the front panel

I would check the metal tabs and stuff arent touching the boost pipes or anything.

And as scott said maybe a bit of alloy bar with some neat holes in would look good imo (Maybe go down a industral estate and beg )

I know about th tabs and hoses cheers guys. :-).

How would I weld to the alloy bar though? If the mounting holes were turned 90degrees I could perhaps do that method and bolt it to it.

With the bits that go up onto what would be the alloy bar you could just have a go at doing a neat twist in the metal or somthing.

I see what you mean, so I could still bolt the down pieces to the alloy bar.

Think I may pop down to a metal stockholders and see what I can get.

nice one, will have to keep an eye out for your WIP.

do you guys think 2x 7inch cooling fans will be enough to cool it down?
8inch will be too big and will foul the intercooler. would like to buy one and find out if 7inch will fit on, dont want to buy them and they wont be keeping it all cool.

EDIT: just looked through benns WIP and he's got 7inches...fans i mean.

Is that a GTE/GSi Rad? Or a custom one?

Im contemplating whether or not to keep my 1.2 rad as I will need a bit more space then usual.
