Fresh from the ABI, the official Nova insurance group ratings. Note these haven't yet been converted to the "new" (1-50) scale.

1.2 1196cc Group 4 exception: Trip (3)
1.2i 1195cc Group 3 exception: Luxe+ (4)
1.3 1297cc Group 5
1.4 1389cc Group 6 exception: SR (7),
1.4i 1389cc Group 5 exception: SRi (7)
1.5D 1488cc Group 5
1.5TD 1488cc Group 6
1.6 1598cc Group 11


There's also an oddity in the ratings. A 1992 4dr Merit saloon (note not "Merit+") is on the chart with a 1.2i engine (1195cc) and listed as group 4.

I didn't bother listing the individual models as its pretty much all done on engine size with a few exceptions

Sport is Group 5.....They haven't realised the output from those engines then
