    ive got a x14xe for £70 if you fancy giving that a go

    Adams did countless trackdays plus usual daily driving without fault.

    Mines just been a pain as i didnt get all the bits to start with, and its a new engine conversion. Same as any.

    You sold your your old 1.6 dave? If not i'd stick that back in then maybe later on go for twin carbs etc..

    Or if its reliablity you want do what I did and go for a 2.0 8v My mates andys 2.0 8v is nearly on 270,000 miles on the original engine and runs just as well as mine.

    Still runs though, and drives. Just the front end that looks a bit battered.
