if you have just started welding it looks good. as long as you melt the to metals together it will be strong.

Yeah very new to welding, finished my first ever bottle of gas that came with the welder earlier

I'd stay with the 0.6mm wire, 0.8 is too much for most of the light stuff your'e doing.
