Engine block is confirmed unusable, waiting to hear about about a usable std block, otherwise I'll be going for a rebore and larger (86.5mm) pistons.
Cyl head is coming on nicely, cleaned all the ports out and finishing lapping in the valves. Will get pics when it's built up!
Been tinkering with the rollcage triangulation tonight. Rigged up a DIY tube notcher using a 38mm holesaw:
Perfec':
Slots in here nicely with a bit of tweaking:
And a quick file and it sits nicely against the front leg:
For the diagonal I needed a notched section and a flat section:
Bish bosh bash, sits perfectly on the floor and leg:
Just need the top of the diag done now, which looks the hardest bit.
good work !!!
Good work/skills, liking how well the new cage bits fit together!

Lip on the cylinders is a bit bad, been told this can hit the upper piston ring and snap it so not going to risk it.
Where did you get the cage tubing from?

A mate got it for me from a kitcar place. It's 38mm CDS. Using roughly 2.2mm thick for the triangulation (same as a SD cage) but got some 2.6mm thick stuff I can use for between the B pillars.
