    Question insuring a gsi with redtop??

    iv got a gsi, will have 2 years ncb in december,im 19, 20 in march.

    what should i be lookin at for insurance prices when i do my redtop conversion.

    Personally Ad, I'd say more towards £2k really. It will be the same as him insuring an Astra GSi/GTE as his age. Bearing in mind, at my tender age of 22 coming 23, it about £300 a F/C on the same vehicle with points & claims.

    well im paying £1600 at the moment which is a bit of a joke! wouldnt mind if it stays at that once i have my 2 years ncb and redtop in place.

    just want an idea of what others are paying round the same age?

    and with what insurance companies?

    admiral is good i got quotes of £1075 on a nova GTE as a first driver with my dad on it with me

    jesus, ive got a 1.2i and cheapest i could find on my own was 1400 when i passed (age 18) so i went under my mums and its 500 now

    i was just planning on waiting till my pension came through before even trying for a gsi

    When i was 20 i had a mk3 astra gsi (redtop) i payed £1200 tpft with 1 years no claims, it came down to £514 on the same car when i was 21 with 2 years no claims.

    try elephant i have never paid more than a bag of sand for insurance. ie nova 1.4sr at 18 was 900,cav gsi at 20 was 612, im just 24 and got a quote on my 280bhp nova turbo with everything declared today for 900.

    20 years of age

    5 speeding convictions, 1 due care and an A4 page of traffic offences.

    insured for my redtop nova (track car), 2 xr2i's an rs turbo, nova merit, escort 1.8 gti an fiesta diesel quartz thats 7 cars an worst of all my mrs on my isurance too only £600 a year everything done by the book too.
