    Default Fault codes C20XE

    anyone shed some light on what might cause these problems and possible fixes for them???
    31Engine RPM signal (crankshaft sensor)No signal
    66Carbon Monoxide (CO) potentiometerHigh voltage
    73Air Flow Sensor (AFS)Low voltage
    94Hall Effect Switch (HES)High voltage

    31, is the crank sensor plugged in? if so duff crank sensor, i'd say all the others are concerned with the plugs being disconnected and re-connected, with the ignition on.

    Don't forget if you flashed the codes out with the engine not running you always get code 31.
    Check the wiring on the lambda sensor for code 66
    Check AFM wiring for code 73
    and check wiring to the little 3 pin plug ontop of the dizzy and to the coil for 94

    crank sensor is on the front of the block, next to the front engine mount, held on by a 10mm bolt

    cleared all apart from 94
    checked and cleaned all connections. Still shows fault

    hall effect showed up on my xe changed the distributor was fine after that

    When I investigated the hall effect switch on Max boost it was something to do with ABS warning IIRC
