There is nothing in the salvage code of practice that states a car involved in a fatal must be classed as a Cat A and be crushed, it basically states that if the car is damaged to the extent it is...

I'm not sure exactly on the rules. I thought if it was a fatal then it would be a CAT A and had to be destroyed, perhaps because he didn't actually die in the car then it's different.

A certificate of destruction can only be issued by an authorised treatment facility. Did you scrap it with a company or did you just send off the logbook saying scrapped?

Sometimes the payment will go through as an echeque. This is usual due to insufficient funds or out of date card or some other reason.
