Steve on removing the alternator/bottom sproket, I could not find any paint marks where someone has set the timing in the past, so have you any idea's how I am going to set it now with no reference...

I don't know mate, it is driving me mad. As I said with my own Nova, if I line the top and bottom up and then put the belt back on they stay where they are.
