ok thx but if the crank is dammaged wouldnt it show in the big end shells??

not a mechanic so i wouldnt know what dammage that would do thats why im on here gettin advice????

how much did you pay to have every thing reground? the people i brought it off said it snapped a belt 8 exhaust valves were bent and two guides were cracked if the crank is dammaged would'nt it show...

the rods were checked out by a mechanic said they were ok the knocking is only there when the plugs are in if i take the plugs out it stops

need help i brought a c20xe with the cambelt snapped, brought a new head slapped it on timed it up there was a knocking from bottom end stripped it down new rings new big end shells re built knocking...

have you timed it by the pointer or by the actual crank take pulley off and look at the crank pulley there is a notch by 1 of the screw holes make sure it is at 6oclock and the cams are at 12 spark...

on my c20xe the arrow point towards the cambelt away from gearbox so i presume yours would be the same

there is a mk1 nova in the scrap yard in merry hill [saltbrook srap yard]

if you look on ebay at the moment there is a magnex full exhaust finishes in 4 days manifold back to rear box type in c20xe and its in there

as cheap as possible not long brought a coscast head to find out the bottom is knackard
