Fit 100 shot of nitrous
id start with basics, k&n, new plugs, new leads etc
^^ i wanna get home its a long drive... lol
nothing! youll be pissing into the wind tbo, for the price of an sr engine or even gte theres no point in making it faster! id say you could fit an sr engine in a couple of hours!
corsa air box and no filter ;)Quote:

lol
or just pump the tyres up to like 60 psi
so why are you asking then
Why would you want a rr shootout for 1.2 novas??
Chocolate & fireguard spring to mind...........
A well set up 1.2 carb will whip a 1.2i
I reckon buying a decent grinder & a set of number stamps plus the biggest engine you can will be the best thing.
you are the one whom recommends spunking a **** load of machining costs on a 1.2/1.4 hybrid lol. isnt that equally pissing in the wind.
Plus anyone with half an ounce of brain will know that someone trying to palm off a 100bhp 1.2 that isnt revving to 9K is a lying cnut lol
Martin, you have and SPi, you may just as well get on the rollers next to the car and run to give it a bit of extra go lol
Your only hope is Nitrous. Just a small nip of it will give you the edge to win the shootout, you dont need a bucket load of it lol
How about some of that friction reducer shiznit in the gearbox oil, optimax, high tyre pressures & minimum engine oil etc
Adjusting the Bellend may help.
Its not really worth spending even a tenner on it is it in the long term...
I thought the Nova was going to be a 16v, hence the plug cover in your WIP
Can get more gains overall on the spi engine! Its a better engine/system, just heavily restricted in std form.Quote:

Oh it's war then, is it Novalicious? Well I'm sure I can cheat, will just have a word with Dougie and and persuade him to make an error when he types it up lol Only joking, I would like to get another engine before then but I'm not too ****d. It'd be good to see what the wee 1.2 will do LMAO lol Just be nice to see everyone :)

PS. the bit about the punches & the grinder was written using Microsoft Irony 2.1,

The guy doing the rolling road should check tyre pressure an set them all the same really.
However just fit some nitrous, even if it doesnt give you any more bhp it will still be a laugh.
Like hes gonna check the tyres! should do but probably wontQuote:

I always do the tyres, you'll know if they are pumped up to a million psi anyway with how it feels.
If I fitted it without the intension of blowing it up in the first place it might have stood a chance, but it was doomed from the start lol. Actually take that back, the engine might take it but after a 50bhp shot down the road the clutch ate itself.
how much is a nitrous setup?
depends, I paid 300 for mine an that was used won kit so I did fairly well. brand new they are about 600-800 I think but you can get cheap ass ones with will no doubt fail nd the bottle will blow up for about sub 300.
give it a miss then lol
