absolute myth
Myth or dream? lol
think about what you have just said....... a lotus carlton engine in a nova...... i think not
heard it all now!
have you seen the size of the engine and gearbox, its about the length of a nova lol
I think it would have to be a big wide arched Nova to fit a C36GET and gearbox (which is the same as a Chevrolet Corvette C4 iirc). Whoever told you that - punch them next time you see them, then punch yourself for falling for it.Quote:

Ahem, Lee Mitchum's already on that one, along with the Jag V12 powered Citroen Visa.Quote:

i don't think it was but don't hold me to that, there was a thread on corsasport but you had to be a paying member to view it so i never got the chance to find out if it was real or notQuote:

people said (and still try to tell me) that you cant put an xe/let/v6 in a nova, peopl said that you cant make a non 4x4 hatchback 4x4, but its been done, a company in leicester put a jag v12 in a corsa b and made it rear wheel drive, to put an xe in a mini you have to lenghthen the front end, a bloke round the corner from me chopped a ford anglia down the middle an made it a foot wider then made the front end a foot longer so that he could easily fit a big block in, think about what YOU lot are saying, anything can be done with time effort and money, so all i asked was a curious question and got stupid sarcastic answers.....
^ to true.
Anything is possible, wether it be reality or theory, you CAN fit any engine/running gear onto any car, its just going about it is the pain in the ass.
thank you, someone with some sense who isnt just being a sheep and following on with the cocky answers everyone else gaveQuote:

I dont think the question is wether its possible, its more about wether its viable.
IMO it would be a complete waste of time and effort, but then I have the same opinion about the 4x4 being built as we speak.
So at the end of the day you just need someone with a big enough wallet, and the fabrication skills to do it, and also someone who wants to end up with a car that would be pretty much hopelessly undriveable lol
dont get me wrong im not shooting my wad into a roll of tissue about this car, i just wanted to know if it was true or not, but i guess you cant be curious without being called a fool
no the anglia was pale green, the original common anglia colour i believe, unless you put 2 anglias together you couldnt tell he had done itQuote:

Anything is possible, for eaxmple how about a Rover SD1 with a 27l Meteor engine
thats insane, and proves my point anything CAN be done
Im pretty sure a Merlin in a Nova would be pushing it.
Or a Rolls Royce Trent 500 :)
ohmigodimsooofugginboredofthisshiiiittttt
it'd be all very well and good slapping the engine in (although costing a fair whack) but imagine the weight of the block . It would never ever ever take a corner AND the shell would probrably snap under the pressure ..
in that case theres two widened 4x4 anglias as a bloke i know has got one aswell lolQuote:

Anyone remember the lad that put a spitfire engine in an old talbot avenger estate, was on top gear? lol
I suppose the real question is when does a car cease being a car and becomes instead an ICBM
An LC powered Nova would probably go round corners worse than a Cruise missilelol
ive seen a morris minor with a 200sx floor pan, engine etc.
who remembers that guy twho tried to tell us he seen a skyline engine in a nova?

lol it would be criminal, but what if you had a wedge in your pocket and your came across an un-repairable written off LC... be very tempting if you dared to take on such a projectQuote:
